Animal Control

Animal Control
Animal Control consists of three animal control officers who patrol Edgecombe County and respond to calls from citizens dealing with domesticated animals. Animal Control’s daily operations are overseen by the Edgecombe County Sheriff’s Office. The animal control officers patrol the county Monday through Friday and are on call nights, weekends, and holidays to respond to emergency animal calls.

The Animal Shelter is located behind the old Edgecombe County Health Department at 2909 N Main St. in Tarboro.

The shelter is open

Monday thru Friday, 1:30pm - 4:30pm. Call (252) 641-4112 for more information. For calls for service, dial 252-641-7911

You can help to control the pet population by having your pet spayed or neutered. Read the ASPCA General Pet Care-Spay/Neuter Your Pet.
