NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PROPOSED AMENDMENTS to THE EDGECOMBE COUNTY CODE OF ORDINANCES
Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held on Monday, December 2, 2019 at 7:00 PM in the Commissioners’ Room of the Administrative Building located at 201 St. Andrew Street, Tarboro, North Carolina. The purpose of this public hearing is to consider and act on a proposed amendment to Chapter 10 – Environment, Article I. Section 10-1 “Smoking” of the Edgecombe County Code of Ordinances.
The proposed amendment is intended to amend the current ordinance that restricts smoking in county buildings to restrict smoking, the use of tobacco products and e-cigarettes in county buildings, grounds and vehicles. A copy of the proposed amendment is on display for public inspection in the Office of County Manager, in the County Administration Building, Room 402 St. Andrew St., Tarboro, NC 27886 during regular business hours. A copy may also be viewed on the County’s website at www.edgecombecountync.gov
All parties interested are invited and urged to be present and make their views known. Anyone with a physical limitation or language barrier that will need special accommodations at the public hearing should call (252) 641-7834 at least 48 hours prior to the meeting.
