The most threatening aspects of Hurricane Florence have passed Edgecombe County. Our shelters have been closed, and our Emergency Operations Center has been downgraded to monitoring status. We will continue to monitor the rising of the Tar River, however it is not expected to pose a flooding threat to any areas in our County.  Many areas in our State are still facing life threatening flooding. Please keeps them in your thoughts and prayers.
